Yoga instruction is offered in the studio as private lessons, small group classes and group classes. The following classes are taught by Mary, an Ashtanga Authorized Instructor. (See below for classes taught by Studio Partners.) Ages 13 and up are welcome to attend any class on their own but must bring a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
Knowledge is key to a rewarding yoga experience. Build your foundation first and then move from a place of confidence and grow. This informative class teaches you how to move safely through a physical practice with attention to the use of props and modifications. You’ll also experience the magic of yoga in breath work, guided relaxation and restorative stretches. 60 minutes.
Small Group Yoga Therapy:

Down on the Mat:
This sequencing stays low and grounded and facilitates a deep sense of engagement and awareness. Engagement in your breath, engagement in the yin and yang of muscular contraction and release, and awareness of mind, body and breath in harmony. Transitions include kneeling, seated, and lying on belly, back and sides, No standing postures. All levels. 60 minutes
Ready to go deeper? Intermediate Yoga lets you build and expand on what you already know! With so many postures to learn and enjoy, yoga is never boring. Move while you learn as we explore deepening a posture, trying a new technique and discovering all that we are capable of! Some yoga experience recommended. 60 minutes
Private Sessions (One or Two People):
Much of the studio time is devoted to private lessons. If you are new to yoga, at least one private lesson is recommended before joining a group class. Consider our New Student Special. We begin with an assessment of mobility, flexibility, strength, balance and personal objectives in order to advise on posture modifications and practice techniques. 50 minutes. Ashtanga-Inspired Vinyasa Flow Yoga:
Vinyasa is a flowing practice that allows you to free your mind as you move your body. Ashtanga sequences are a defined series of postures intended to build health into the body. This class blends together postures from the Ashtanga series for a flowing, satisfying practice that is appropriate for any student who can move freely. Recommended as a next step from Beginners classes. 60 minutes.
Ashtanga is an authentic practice that opens the body in a logical sequence. This one-hour guided practice leads you through select postures from the Primary and Intermediate series for a balanced practice that will leave you feeling great. Assists provided as appropriate. 60 minutes.
This class draws from the Ashtanga Primary Series in the teacher-led format. The practice provides many opportunities for challenging poses and students are reminded to keep their bodies safe. Whatever your experience, we all practice together, meeting our challenges without worry, and learning from each other. This defined sequence includes sun salutations, standing series postures, deep seated stretches, heart-opening postures, balances, headstand and shoulder stand inversions and pranayama. Students are asked to be present with the breath for the duration of the class..
